Generic Stablon (Tianeptine) 12.5mg

Tianeptine is a type of medication used to treat depression. This medicine belongs to the antidepressant class of drugs. This drug has anxiolytic and antidepressant properties that are used to treat a number of depression symptoms. You can use this medication to treat bipolar disorder and dysthymia. 

 

Take Tianeptine exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Read the Prescription Leaflet carefully before you start the treatment. If you have any questions, ask your physician, pharmacist or doctor for help. This medication is available in boxes of between fifteen to sixty tablets. You can this drug with or without food. To be safe, ensure you take the medication the same time each day. This way, you can remember your schedule. Do not chew, break and crush the tablet when taking this medicine. 

 

When taking Tianeptine, follow all instructions carefully. If you think you have taken an overdose of this medicine, contact your doctor right away. You can also seek medical assistance from the nearest hospital. Avoid skipping a dose. If you do, take the dose immediately. However if you do not remember this, skip the dose and return to your normal dosage schedule. Store this medicine in a cool, dry place. Remember to keep it out of reach of children. Discard the medicine once the expiry date has lapsed. 

 

Tianeptine has the following side effects: less sex drive, diarrhea, nausea, constipation, insomnia, dizziness, anxiety, fatigue, dry mouth, lack of appetite, stomach upset, skin rashes, tremor, itching, blurred vision, stomach upset, headache, increased swelling and unusual tiredness. 

 

Before you take Tianeptine, inform your doctor if: 

• You are pregnant

• You are using MAO inhibitors

• You are about to undergo surgery

• You are breastfeeding

• You are taking  any medication

• You are aged below eighteen years
