Cyproheptadine is a type of medication used to ease various allergies. These allergies include: sneezing, itchy eyes, running nose, hives and watery eyes.  The drug works  as an antihistamine  that blocks histamine which is responsible for allergic reactions that the body experiences. Cyproheptadine also works to block serotonin.

Dosage:

Take Cyproheptadine as prescribed by your doctor. Normally these pills are taken between two and three intervals a day. The dose is administered depending on your medical condition, age and response to cure. For children, a doctor can prescribe Cyproheptadine based on the infant's body size.

Usage:

When using liquid Cyproheptadine, ensure you measure the drug using the correct measuring spoon to obtain the right dosage. Household spoons are therefore forbidden.
