Generic Rogaine (Minoxidil) 2% & 5%

Minoxidil is a solution used to help hair grow. It is used to treat male baldness easily. The baldness must be located at the center or back of the head. Therefore Minoxidil is not effective for baldness found at the front of the scalp. This medication belongs to the vasodilators class of drugs. You can mix the foam with 2 percent of Minoxidil to achieve the desired outcome. The mixture is very effective in women with thinning hair. Do not use this medication if you are eighteen years and below. Also, this medicine is not used to treat genetic hair loss or hair loss after giving birth. 

 

Use this medication as directed by your pharmacist or doctor. Read the Prescription Label carefully before you start using it. Ask your doctor any questions you may have. Do not apply this solution on irritated, cut or scrapped skin. Wash your hands before and after applying the medication. If the solution gets in contact with your eyes, wash thoroughly with cold water. This medication may take up to four months until full benefits are witnessed. Use Minoxidil frequently to get the most out of it. If your condition persists, call your doctor. 

 

Wash and dry your scalp before you apply Minoxidil. Use a milliliter of Minoxidil solution daily. Part you hair to get the area where hair is thinning. Apply the solution on this region evenly. Let it dry completely before using other products. When using foam, ensure you wash your hands well. Apply about a half cup of foam to your scalp and massage gently.  Allow it to dry well before bedtime. 

 

Minoxidil  has these side effect: a stinging or burning sensation. It can cause redness where the solution has been applied. This medication has serious side effects such as: fainting, dizziness, chest pain, trouble breathing, uneven heartbeats and unusual weight gain. If you experience this, call your doctor immediately or seek medical advice. 

 

Before taking Minoxidil, inform your doctor if:

• You have heart problems such as heart attack

• You have liver or kidney disease

• You have eczema

• You are expectant
