Generic Exforge (Amlodipine/Valsartan)

Exforge is a chemical which is used to break the channel. It is the combination of Amlodipine and Valsartan. It provides the relaxation to the muscles of heart and other blood vessels. People use this medicine because it does not let the heart vessels become narrow and hence improves the flow of blood. It is also a best medicine for the treatment of high blood pressure. Exforge has been considered as one of the best medicine to treat hypertension i.e. high blood pressure. 

 

Exforge should not be used in pregnancy because It can cause harm to baby. Taking Exforge in first or second trimester can cause the death of the fetos. If you have conceived, stop using Exforge. The Exforge should not be used with aliskiren. This precautionary measure is for those people who have disease of kidney. The diabetic patients using aliskiren should not use Exforge. Potassium supplements or salt substitutes should also not used with Exforge unless your doctor has advised you to use. With the use of Exforge, you may feel dizzy and can fall while getting up from sitting. In order to avoid fall, be slow and steady in your move. If you are using the beta blocker, don’t quit it suddenly. Reduce the intake of beta blocker medicine gradually with the advice of your doctor. 

Many people are allergic to amlodipine or valsartan. They should not use Exforge. If you have any of the following disease, you should talk to your doctor before you start taking Exforge. 

1. Disease of kidney of if you are having dialysis

2. Disease of liver

3. Failure of heart

4. Diabetes

5. Coronary artery disease or pain in chest

6. Vomiting or diarrhoea

7. If you recently had a heart attack 

8. If you have any type of allergy 

9. If you are taking any blood pressure medication 

 

There are very rare cases of kidney failure and the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue with the use of Generic Exforge (Amlodipine/ Valsartan). It can also cause pain in muscles, tenderness and weakness in fever, unusually tiredness and urine of dark colour.

Exforge should be taken after prescribed by doctor. You doctor may change the dose of this medicine occasionally. Take the medicine according to the prescription. You should take this medicine with full glass of water. It can also be taken with or without food. The Exforge has a direct effect on blood pressure. It is important to check the blood pressure regularly while taking this medicine. If you are sweating more than usual or you are having diarrhoea or vomiting, consult your doctor. The dosage of the Exforge is recommended on the basis of the physical condition, medical health and tolerance level of the patient. The dose which is usually taken by the patients is 5 mg or 10mg. you can also take 160 mg or 320 mg of the valsartan orally twice a day.
