Cipro tablets contain an antimicrobial agent called ciprofloxacin. They are coated double layered tablets with one layer that is for set for immediate release. The tablets are white or slightly yellowish in colour. This drug is used to cure and manage Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections and complicated Urinary Tract Infections and Acute Uncomplicated Pyelonephritis.
Dosage
Cipro is available in coated immediate release tablets of 500 Mg.
Usage
Cipro tablets should be taken whole and not split; it should be taken two hours after the administration of any other drugs you may be taking. Ensure that you are well hydrated when taking these tablets to avoid having very highly saturated urinal discharge. For peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis patients they should only administer Cipro after dialysis and use a least 500 mg a day.
