Generic Diflucan 150 Mg (Fluconazole)

 PRODUCTION INFORMATION:

Diflucan, an antifungal medicine, is a generic name of fluconazole. It works by reducing the fungal growth. The main purpose of this drug is to treat fungal infections of mouth, vagina, oral and bloodstream. It is available in 50mg, 100mg, 150mg, and 200mg depending upon the severity of the disease.

 

Diflucan comes in a pink color in various shapes but most commonly in four sides shape and imprinted with 50mg, 150mg, 100mg and 200mg. It is given either intravenously or by mouth. The usual adult dosage is 150mg as a single oral dose for vaginal.

Candidiasis once a week but in severe cases the dose is increased. For oral thrush it is recommended to take 100 to 200 mg once a day for two weeks. In case of fungal pneumonia the dose 400mg per day have been used. Take the medication at the same time and with water with or without food. Also do not discontinue it before the prescribed duration.

 

As this drug is used to treat fungal and yeast infections so any person suffering from the following diseases should take this drug:

• candida vaginitis ,

• candida balanitis

• esophageal candidiasis

• infection of   throat,  lungs and blood 

• histoplasmosis

• ring worm 

• athletes foot 

• Urinary tract infection 

• Peritonitis 

• Pneumonia

• Meningitis 

• Prophylaxis

 

Before taking diflucan it is necessary to tell your doctor if you are on your family way or breast feeding. 

You should tell your doctor if you are suffering from any kind of heart rhythm problem or improper liver or kidney functions. 

It is necessary to inform the doctor about your family history like if you have porphyria. 

Tell your doctor if you had an allergic reaction to a medicine.

It is contradicted when a person is suffering from azole medicines so asking for any allergic reaction in the past is important. It is also contradicted in patients who are taking terfenadine and SSRIs. Also it is contradicted in people having liver problem, moderate to severe kidney impairment, pregnancy, an irregular or slow heart beat and abnormal heart rhythm.
