Seroflo is drug that contains fluticasone and salmeterol as its main ingredients. The drug helps in clearing the airwaves of the throat by preventing swelling and irritation. This makes breathing easier. This drug is used to manage conditions such as emphysema, chronic bronchitis, symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma and wheezing.
Dosage
The available doses of Seroflo are 113 mcg-14 mcg/inh; 55 mcg-14 mcg/inh; 232 mcg-14 mcg/inh; CFC free 115 mcg-21 mcg/inh; 100 mcg-50 mcg; CFC free 230 mcg-21 mcg/inh 250 mcg-50 mcg; 500 mcg-50 mcg; and CFC free 45 mcg-21 mcg/inh;
Usage
Seroflo comes in a dry powdered inhaler form and rotacaps. Patients with Obstructive Pulmonary Disease are prescribed for 250/50 mcg: of Seroflo to be taken twice a daily orally in the form of one puff of the inhaler at least 12 hours apart. Asthma patients depending on the extent of their conditions are prescribed for one dose twice a day of between 100/50 mcg to 500/50 mcg: powder or two doses of between 45/21 mcg to 230/21 mcg: aerosol Seroflo to be taken twice daily. Minors between 4 to 11 years administer 1 dose of 100/50 mcg: twice daily while those of 12 years and above take one dose, twice daily of 100/50 mcg to 500/50 mcg: Seroflo.

Precautions
The precautions one should take while using Seroflo include;

Always wash your mouth thoroughly after inhalation to avoid conditions such as oropharyngeal candidiasis.

Do not use Seroflo with other medication containing LABA.

Shake inhaler for a few seconds before each dose

Before using a new inhaler shake and spray into the air a few times. Avoid pointing it towards your face when spraying.
