Generic Accutane is commonly referred to as isotretinoin, is an oral drug that remedies nodular acne and is classified as a retinoid. It reduces the regulation of facial oil that helps to combat severe acne. Various factors such as the patient’s medical condition will determine how many times the drug will be administered and how long the prescription will last. An adult uses between 0.0 to 1 mg twice a day depending on their weight. Minors under twelve must be instructed by a physician on the dose. In case a dose is skipped ensure you take it as soon as possible.

The dose is taken orally in doses of 0.5 to 1 mg as prescribed by a physician.
