Generic Ventolin (Albuterol)

Ventolin, whose generic name is Albuterol inhalation, is a treatment for preventing bronchospasm disease. This is a disease that blocks the air passage thus causing breathing difficulties. The bronchodilator works by relaxing the muscles located in the air passages. The flow of air in the lungs is then increased. 

 

Inhale Ventolin through the mouth by spraying it according to the doctor’s or label’s instructions. If the instructions suggest you inhale more than once, wait for a minute before you inhale it again. The same procedure should also be employed when you are using more than one inhaler. 

 

Ventolin is used together with other drugs and as such, they should be taken together. It is used in a 24 hour basis whenever an attack strikes. Children below the age of 4 years should not be prescribed Ventolin.

 

They include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach pains, seizures, difficulties in breathing, fever, chest pains, high blood pressure among others. While some of these effects may be fatal, others do not carry any weight. Either way, you should inform your doctor as soon as you experience weird body signs. 

 

Avoid sharing the drug with others who have the similar symptoms as yours. This may lead to irreversible effects.

Ensure that you refill your bottle before it runs out completely and you face and episode.

Keep the drug lose at all times because the attack may be unexpected.

Beware of the increased need for drugs which can possibly be a sign of a severe asthma attack. As such it is necessary to watch out for such signs and inform a specialist as soon as possible.

Prior to being prescribed Ventolin, inform a doctor of conditions such as;

• Diabetes

• Severe case of thyroid

• Epilepsy

• Change in rhythm of the heart

• Heart failures

• High blood pressure
