Generic Lynoral (Ethinyl Estradiol) 50 mcg

The active ingredient contained is Ethinylestradiol at 0.01mg. it contains artificial hormones which primarily alters the 

 primarily, the drug is used as an oral contraceptive, treating recurrent miscarriages and accelerating female development.   In rare uses, the drug is used in treatment of forms of cancer such as prostate cancer.

 

For maximum effectiveness, the drug should be taken strictly as recommended. More so, skipping  two doses puts you at the risk of conceiving. If you however skip the doze, remember to take it within 24 hours. This will not require you to take additional contraceptives. 

The dose should be taken in 24 hours intervals at a constant time.  If one has a sensitive stomach, there is no harm in taking the drug during mealtime. 

 

In its wide usage, Lynoral works by increasing the levels of eostrogen.  When used as a contraceptive the drug should be taken orally. When one gets pregnant during dosage, they should stop using the drug immediately. 

 Its other uses include stimulating ovarian development, painful menstruation by balancing the low estradiol levels.  Patients with blood pressure, diabetes, liver problems, or vaginal problems should consider other alternatives to the drug.

 

Notably, the side effects are most common in women who smoke and those who are aged 35. The common side effects on users include;

• Weight gain

• Insomnia

• Flu symptoms 

• Breasts being tender

• Depression 

• Dizziness

• Vaginal infections

 The are other side effects which require immediate medical attention are

• Breast lumps

• migraine

• Rising BP

• Pain in the groin

 

When used with certain over the counter drugs, one may experience more severe drugs. Some of the drugs that do not interact well with the drug are drugs for treatment of Hep-C, seizures and HIV medication.

Pregnant women too should also take the drug only after prescription by the doctor as the drug has been shown to  cause birth complications.
